Chilean Sign Language Workshop (LSCh) and Deaf Culture

There are 3 levels (Basic, Intermediate, Advanced) for families of deaf children or people who work in professional or public places.

Air pollution in Santiago, lack of culture and environmental work, it invites us to make technology based on solar energy. The workshop consists of educational lectures on pollution, innovative technology, resource sustainability, and making solar ovens together with deaf children. Family Strengthening

It seeks to provide a guide with life experience, transmitted by other families who have experienced the problems of upbringing and education of deaf children, with the support of professionals.

Sign Language Theater - Zacarias Group

Theater is a very effective, expressive and communicative form and allows the creation of relational ties between deaf and hearing people. Zacarias Group is a real and concrete integration of the two worlds that seeks to raise awareness about the world of silence by the theatrical art form.

Zacarias Group has been working since 2006 and has since made several presentations in sign language theater, mime and body language in different places and events. It emphasizes the participation of the Francophonie Week (2008) with the performance of "Stories of Silence" (Relatos del Silencio) in the Library of Santiago, and the "International Seminar for the Performing Arts, Health and Disability. The art of an inclusive view" at the Bicentennial Center Vitacura, depicting "The right of my tree" (El derecho de mi árbol).

Art Workshop

Dedicated to children, youths and adults to develop craft, creativity, imagination.
Art is an important way of knowing the inner self and expresses it naturally, without obligations. Art is a positive relaxation technique suitable for all types of age.

School Support

We support youths, adults and non-hearing children who need to improve their school performance or who want to complete their secondary studies.

Catechesis

Many deaf people can not access the translation of the Eucharist; therefore we offer to help the development of the spiritual dimension. We intend to spread the message of Jesus to people interested in receiving the Sacraments.

Sports and Leisure Activities

To gain awareness of the importance of the nature of our body and soul, the need to be in permanent relationships with others, sharing directly and maintaining a balance in life is the aim of this program as well as the healthy competition among peers, encouraging the development and knowledge of their own capabilities.

Workshop on Drug and AIDS Prevention

Meetings and dissemination on drug addiction and AIDS for young deaf adults.

Awareness and dissemination of life and the Culture of the Deaf

Ways of meetings with local organizations, churches, families and public institutions.
